Clippins'
Do you ever wonder what genius thought it was a good idea to make finger nail clippers as keychains???
I personally do not think that people should be clipping their nails in public. So...today around 9am I was on the red line of the Metro heading into downtown DC and there was a professional woman in a grey suit clipping all ten of her nails. Yuck. No one wants to head to work and hear this loud clipping noise, and most importantly - no one wants to be hit in the head with dead nail clippins' - this is gross. And no, she did not pick up the leavings. Then the lady had the nerve to put on black satin gloves...umm last I checked it was July in this swamp we call the District of Columbia, so there was definitely NO need for the gloves. Therefore, I have to assume that this woman is one who has a heightened fear of germs. Well I have I heightened fear of being hit with the detritus of your fingernails.
So lady in the grey suit, the next time you do this I am going to take a picture of you and post it on my blog. If the stares of everyone on the train won't get you to stop, maybe posting a photo of you grooming your claws will shame you into clipping your nails in your own home.
